Where can I buy Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer?

Contact Us by phone at 724.562.3719 or email.

How can my business become an authorized distributor or installation contractor of Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer?

You may contact us directly with your request to carry our product line or to be listed among our authorized contractors.

Should I choose to have a professional installation done?

As with any type of construction project, the installation techniques used are of great importance to the beauty of the finished product. When choosing Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer, please ensure that careful consideration is given not only to the type of profile and the color that is selected, but also the layout “pattern” of the stone as well as the grout techniques used in your installation. For more information see the Technical Data/Installation page.

What is efflorescence and how do I clean it?

Efflorescence is the result of moisture migration through the masonry substrate allowing deposits of dissolved salts to form on the surface of the stone. It naturally disappears over time once the moisture source is controlled or eliminated. However it may be removed with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 6 parts water. Scrub using a soft bristle brush and vinegar/water solution. Rinse well with clean water.

How will my stone veneer be packaged for delivery?

Our stone is generally packaged in (45″ x 45″ x 30″) wooden crates containing 100 square feet of stone veneer. The crates weigh about 1000 lbs each and require a forklift or lift gate to remove the crate from the truck upon delivery.

Why do the colors of my stone veneer appear to change slightly from day to day depending on weather and lighting conditions?

Just like natural stone or concrete, all of the colors in Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer may appear darker or deeper when wet or installed in shady areas. When dry or when installed in bright sunny areas the colors may appear lighter. This is normal and care should be taken to select the color of stone based in some part on the weather and lighting conditions of the area to be covered.

Where can I find knowledgeable masons to install my stone veneer?

Mason’s Mark has a wide network of professional stone masons and contractors on call to assist you in installation of your new stone veneer please contact us and we can put you in touch with a number of construction experts.

How do I clean my stone veneer?

We recommend using a mild detergent and a soft bristled brush. Never use any type of acid cleaners, wire brushes, or high pressure washers as you may expose the aggregates and damage your stone. Prior to cleaning any stone, conduct a test cleaning on an inconspicuous area.

Will my Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer fade over time?

Mason’s Mark base colors are blended throughout the cement mixture during manufacturing and face colors are absorbed into the cement during curing to become an integral part of the stone. Similar to natural stone, minimal color differences may be seen after many years of weathering.

Will I need to seal my stone veneer if I install it outdoors?

Some customers may choose to seal manufactured stone products to enhance the color or to obtain a “wet look”, but sealing is not required unless the installation is near an area of frequent water runoff. Our stone veneers are not recommended for use near or under water. Additionally,no coatings or sealers should be applied until the stone has beenon the wall for at least 30 days allowing the stone and mortar to properly cure.

What are the benefits of using Mason’s Mark Stone Veneer over natural stone?

A project using manufactured stone will be approximately 30-50% less expensive to complete. Because of the lightweight properties associated with manufactured stone, no wall ties or footings are required to be constructed. Also the work may often be completed significantly faster than with natural stone.

How thick are Mason’s Mark stone veneers and about what do they weigh?

Our stone veneers are from 1/2″ to 2″ in thickness depending of the product style and weigh from 8 to 12 lbs. per square foot. No brick ledge or added supports are needed for installation.

Can Mason’s Mark stone veneers be used outdoors?

Yes, all of our stone veneer products and accessories can be used for any interior, exterior, or landscaping use.
